Call for Art Submissions
Located in the heart of Caledon, we offer our guests a picturesque, unique experience as soon as they arrive. From our scenic views and relaxing wellness center to our fine dining restaurant, enjoy a first-class experience when you stay with us.
At this time, local artists have the opportunity to submit work for consideration to Mount Alverno to be featured in the new resort. Mount Alverno is looking for artists of all kinds to exhibit their artwork in all public spaces of the resort. All submissions are free and will be reviewed by an Art Review Panel.
All artwork must be for sale. Artists should be prepared to replace work when sold. Mount Alverno will not take a commission on sales.100% of sale price will be forwarded to the artist.

Open to all emerging and established artists 18 years and over living and working in Ontario. Mount Alverno is eager to receive a wide range of work with the qualification being that the artwork is of high quality and one of a kind. All applicants will be notified of jury’s decision, via email. Jurying and acceptance for each proposal will be based on quality, content and presentation.
Specific sizes are required. 36×24, 36×36 also multiple larger formats up to 72 inches.
There is no limit to quantity of pieces submitted.
All works must be exhibition-ready. This includes being professionally framed with appropriate mounting hardware. Photographic work must be framed or mounted on rigid surface. (D-hooks or end wiring must be securely attached to the frame. Faulty or poor wiring is not acceptable.)
Art work that has been accepted but are not considered exhibition-ready when delivered will not be included.
Submissions will only be accepted electronically and should be sent to email@example.com with ATTN: Art Submission in the subject line.
Art images are to be sent to in the form of jpegs. The jpegs should be 1024 pixels on the largest dimension, at 300 dpi. Maximum file size 2 MB. Each jpeg must include the artist’s name or initials, underscore, title, underscore, size (height by width) in inches.

Images must be cropped. They must not include any object or item other than the artwork (no carpet, fingers or grass). Failure to submit in the proper fashion may result in disqualification from the jury process.
Mount Alverno reserves the right to decline work that, in the curator’s judgement, does not fulfill the online image submission requirements, or for any other reason.
The digital image files of the selected artwork will be used for press, publicity and marketing purposes, as with our mission of providing exposure for our artists. Some of the selected images will be displayed and promoted on Mountlverno.com and across many social media platforms, reaching viewers worldwide.
Artists maintain the copyright and ownership of their artwork. No copyright is transferred to Mount Alverno in respect of any artwork submitted or accepted. Mount Alverno reserves the right to use submitted images for promotion, publicity and marketing in any media, for the sole purpose of the exhibition – this year and in future. Each artist that submits will be deemed to warrant that they own the entire copyright for the work or that they have permission from the licensee and/or copyright owner(s) for the uses. All relevant clearances and/or model releases must have been obtained for the use of the artwork for publication and exhibition. All artists are responsible for insurance of their artwork.
